Breaking News for GRM Missions
March 2007:
3 Village Churches Completed!
Alan...Village, Aids Village, and Pakistani Church!
1. Alan... Village
The work has been started with the tribal church and it will be completed by this month.
Here is the testimony of the Tribal church pastor.
"On April 10, 2005 God gave me the burden to start a ministry in this area. Obeying His voice, I started to build a hut church sized 20/15 feet, amidst great persecution and trials. I spent nearly 8000 Rupees to fix this hut. During those days only 10 people attended the church service. Just after 2 months some people who did not like the church to be there, burnt the hut. We all cried and gave it to the hands of the Lord. Only during this time I got linked up with the Gospel Revival Ministries Director, from that time onwards we were planning to build a church with bricks and tiles.
With the help of the GRM director and our church believers, we were able to fix the tiles on the roof and did some side walls and we were praying for it and looking unto the Lord. I even sold my small property and invested the money in building this church. But it was not sufficient to complete the church building. Now by the grace of God, we have 50 believers and 20 children. GRM has come forward to help us in completing the church building and we hope the work will be finished by this month and dedicate it for the glory of God.
I also thank the Gospel Revival Ministries for the Bore well for the tribals, which is saving many lives. Thank you!"
2. Aids Village
In this village, there was no proper water supply. A person had to walk 0.6 miles to fetch water and it was in a very populated area where they do not like sharing it with the affected villagers. The new water well is Tamil Nadu, India. The main occupation of this village is making fire works. They make the match sticks and fire crackers in their home and it is collected by a factory person. Even though every one does some sort of work, the wages are very low and is not sufficient for their living. So, the women of this village get involved in prostitution to earn some more money resulting in 85% of this village population being affected by AIDS. The mortality rate is very high and there are many orphans.
The completion of this well has opened the doors for us to build a church in this area. The pastor has stated that since the well was put in there is an overwhelming response from the people. They all want to know more about the God who gave them their own water. We began the church this month and we are already putting up the walls and the roof! We plan to be finished within the next couple of weeks. Please continue to pray for this opportunity we have been given. Many of these people are waiting to die and they have no hope. The water well brought them joy, but the only lasting hope can be found in Christ.
"The aids church roof support has been removed
and the electrical works will be done in 2 days and
then some wood works and then plastering. Again I will
be going next week to complete the job. It will be completed in
the first week of March."

3. Pakistani Church
"This construction began in November 2005 and now it is near to completion with the blessing of God and permanent financial support of GRM (USA). Both are thankful to GRM which did a marvelous work for the natives and poor people. They have not had a church building since 1988. After 18 years God has made it possible for native people to have a Church building.
The floor of the church is completed today. The cement work and doors are already completed. The doors will be installed soon, the cement is still drying.
Please pray for the safety of the mason and laborers because this work started after a long discussion with militants because they were creating problems for us to do the rest of Church work. This Church building is a worship place for 7 villages close to this village and it becomes a central Church of native area. People join this in this church every Sunday and now it is almost complete. Praise the Lord!"
